Croydon Players at National Championships in Sheffield

Alan Rickard 6th Dan, was delighted with the performance of two players at this year’s British Judo Association National Championships in Sheffield last weekend.
Competing for the first time at this level both exceeded expectations with Callum Roseweir, the lowest grade in the under 60kilo category at Green belt, beating several top ranked players on his way to a 12th  place out of 36 competitiors.
Under 55kilo Adam Khakiev also competing at this event for the first time battled through his category before losing to the eventual silver medallist Jack Murphy from Pro Judo. This put the Croydon player in the reperchage with one match for a bronze. On this occasion his opponent Brayden Quinn from United Judo proved to be the victor leaving Khakiev in 5th place.
Well done to both of you
