Judo Skills for Self Defence Seminar on the10th and 11th of February 2018

A big thank you to Matt Clempner 7th Dan for delivering an excellent Judo Skills for Self Defence Seminar on the10th and 11th of February 2018 at Croydon Judo Club

The seminar, which drew players from all over England, Wales and Northern Ireland, has received a number of accolades from those who took part.

As an additional facility Matt Clempner was able to arrange for 12 of the cohort, who already held appropriate qualifications, to accredit as Self Defence Trainers through the Institute of Martial Arts and Sciences (I.M.A.S.)

All Participants were offered a complete scheme of self-defence techniques which included Conflict resolution, theory of aggression, strategy, break away techniques and physical intervention based  on the previous, (now shelved), very successful British Judo Association Personal Safety Award

The organisers would like to thank all those who took part and in particular Croydon Judo Club for hosting the event.

Despite good attendance on the seminar, enquires were received from a number of players interested in the course but who were unable to attend .Given the response and that all of the Trainers will need to revalidate within 2 years it is hoped that this and other related events will form a regular part of the calendar at Croydon JC ___Watch this Space!!___ send us an expression of interest to croydonjudoclub@gmial.com so to be included in information about future events.
