2016 Ne-Waza Competition Great Success -17 September
Croydon Judo Clubs Second annual competitions a big hit with judo players.
Saturday the 17th September saw judo players from all over the country decent on Croydon to take part in Croydon Judo Clubs second annual Ne-Waza Competition (that’s contests fought entirely from the knees without standing up).
Players competed in weight, age and grade divisions for spectacular medals and as club teams for the prestigious Trident Trophy, last year won by Croydon Judo Club.
This year winning more Gold, Silver and Bronze medals than any other club Croydon Judo Club, home of British Judo Associations board member Alan Rickard (6th Dan), kept hold of the Trident Trophy but hot on their heels in second place another local club, and friendly rivals, Addington Judo Club.
