Tuesday Adults

Date/Time:
Tuesday 20:00 to 22:00
Suitable for:
All Seniors (16+)

The Tuesday class is a busy and lively session.
In 2017 we’ll be looking to improve on our fundamentals and stretch our limits with Judo fitness and technical excellence in Tachi-waza and Ne-waza and plenty of time for free practice.
You’ll be working at your own pace and developing your Toki-waza but expect to be challenged.

Key focuses for the year are:
Technical excellence in your Toki-waza and beyond.
Throwing for Ippon.
Full commitment every time.
Winning transition to Ne-waza.
Drill,drill, drill and more drills.

All with fitness, strength and conditioning thrown in.
This is a great opportunity for those of any grade who want to learn and improve and are willing to be challenged.
Seniors of all levels are welcome at this session.

Instructor:

Ashley Parrette

2nd Dan

Ashley started judo at the age of 11 and after a short break has returned to the club to coach and compete at international level. Winning a Commonwealth Masters Judo Championship Gold medal in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, in April 2016 was the highpoint of his competitive carrier to date. His impressive haul of 3 Gold, 3 Silver and 1 Bronze medal in 2016 speaks volumes about his love for the sport.

But whilst Ashley competes at a high level he encourages all players to maximize their potential, to learn and to enjoy each class.

Notable others:

Tim Bass

Tim Bass started judo in 1985 and has been passionate about the sport ever since. Involved with coaching judo since 1990, Tim gained his BJA Club Coach award in 1999. With his experience of teaching judo to players of all ages and abilities, Tim is a firm believer in ‘judo for all.’
